Operations Team

John M. Kane
Chairman and CEO
John Kane founded Kane Realty Corporation in 1978. Today as its CEO, John has successfully led an organization that has developed sustainable mixed-use communities, regional malls, neighborhood and community centers, office buildings and health centers.
Kane Realty began work on its signature project, North Hills, in late 1999 with the purchase of numerous properties in Raleigh’s North Hills, embarking on a massive billion dollar redevelopment that encompasses 130 acres. North Hills, a mixed-use multi-block district known as Raleigh’s Midtown, is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades for its pedestrian-friendly and sustainable design which has made it one of America’s premier in-fill developments. Centrally located at the corner of one of Raleigh’s main thoroughfares and the I-440 beltline, North Hills is a destination of urban living, luxury hotel rooms, class A office space, premier dining, salons and day spas, high-end boutiques, a 14-screen movie complex, a state-of-the-art athletic club, and numerous gathering places.
John is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, Chief Executives Organization and World Presidents’ Organization. John received a gubernatorial appointment to the State of North Carolina Economic Development Board and is currently serving on the Economic Development Board of the NC Board. He is also a current board member of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, Duke Heart Center, NC New Schools, Vice Chairman of the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, NC Chamber and Chairman of the Duke Raleigh Hospital Advisory Board and a Board member of Duke University Health System. John was a founding vestry member of Holy Trinity Church and a former board member of the North Carolina Symphony and Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
In 2004, John was recognized as Business Leader of the Year by Business Leader Magazine, received the Pillar Award by the Triangle Business Journal, and the Impact Award by Triangle CREW. John was recognized as the Developer of the Year in 2005 by TCAR. In 2009, the News and Observer selected John Kane as “Top 10 to Watch in 2009”. Also in 2009, John was presented with the Sir Walter Raleigh Award by Mayor Charles Meeker under unanimous approval by the Raleigh City Council honoring the significant improvements to the appearance of Raleigh through the re-development of North Hills over the past 10 years. In 2010, John received the prestigious Thad Eure, Jr. Memorial Award from the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau which recognizes an individual that has made a major impact on the Wake County hospitality industry. In 2015, John received the ULI Triangle J.W. Willie York Community Builder Award, the Triangle Business CEO of the year award and the Triangle Business Person of the year award.

Mike Smith
President
Mike Smith is the President at Kane Realty Corporation, providing the primary leadership oversight of development, leasing, management and financing for Kane Realty.
Mike received his Bachelor’s from Wake Forest University and holds a MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Mike currently serves on the Board of St. David’s School, Midtown Raleigh Alliance, Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau (GRCVB). In addition he serves on Wake Forest University’s Council of Chairs and is a member of The Conference Table (Wake County Visitor’s Industry Advocacy Group).
Past leadership roles include serving on Wake Forest University Alumni Council’s Executive Committee, Leadership Council at Church of the Apostles, Executive Committee of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Wake County Economic Development Department Board, Triangle Transit Authority (TTA) Board of Trustees, NCDOT Board of Transportation, and YPO Southern 7 Chapter Chair.
Mike is a recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, an honor given for exemplary service to the state of North Carolina. In 2016, Mike was awarded the Midtown Hero Award by the Midtown Raleigh Alliance, named by the Triangle Business Journal as “50 to Watch in Business” in 2013 and was named one of the Triangle Business Journal’s “Forty Under Forty” in 2004.
Prior to Kane, Mike was Vice President at Banc of America Securities’ Capital Markets Group and Managing Director at PNC Capital Markets.
Association memberships include: The International Center of Shopping Centers (ICSC); Urban Land Institute (ULI); National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP); Downtown Raleigh Alliance; and the Regional Transportation Alliance.

Bonnie Moser
Director of Kane Residential
Bonnie joined Kane Realty in early 2014 as Director of Kane Residential to lead the operations and business development of our multifamily management arm. She is involved in the strategic growth and overall operating success of the individual multifamily assets in our portfolio and leading the Regional team. She works closely with our Development department in the development of future multifamily communities both internally and externally with third party clients. Prior to joining Kane Realty, Bonnie has 26 years of property management experience in all asset types with a portfolio as large as 8,000 apartment homes. She has successfully managed conventional, senior and student housing in both stabilized and lease up communities with a focus on exceeding the expectations of the clients and operational growth in both investment value and return.
Bonnie holds a Certified Property Manager® designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management® and a North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s license. She is actively involved with the local chapter of IREM® and has held several leadership positions including President, Vice President, and Secretary. In addition, she has served on the IREM® National Legislative committee and the Student Outreach committee. She is active in the Triangle Apartment Association and affiliated with NAA®. Bonnie attended Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
For the past 8 years, Bonnie and her husband, Tim have opened their home to nation’s most talented young baseball players as Host Families for the USA Baseball® Tournament of Stars, the national tryout series for the USA Baseball® 18U National team. When she is not at work or the baseball field you can most likely find Bonnie on the family farm in the mountains of North Carolina where she grows Christmas trees and pumpkins.

Jennings Glenn
Chief Financial Officer
Jennings is the Chief Financial Officer for Kane Realty. He joined Kane in 2005 and oversees financial strategy, planning, and coordination among all of the financial disciplines of the company.
Prior to Kane, Jennings was the Controller for Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. in Raleigh where he was responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting. Preceding his time with Southern Industrial, he worked as a Senior Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP in Raleigh and as an Associate with Blackman & Sloop CPA’s P.A. in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Jennings is a graduate of North Carolina State University and holds a degree in accounting. He also earned a degree in political science from Queens College in Charlotte.
His community involvement includes serving as chair of the StepUP Raleigh Board of Directors, chair of the Aldert Root School Foundation Board of Directors, and chair of the Loaves & Fishes Board of Directors. He is a member of the Salvation Army Board of Directors. He served as a Deacon and is currently an Elder at White Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was named one of the Triangle Business Journal’s “Forty Under Forty” for 2010 and was recently awarded 2015 Father of the Year by The Father’s Day Council in association with the American Diabetes Association.
Professional associations include: Urban Land Institute, National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, The International Center of Shopping Centers, and the Regional Transportation Alliance.

T.J. Barringer
Chief Investment Officer
As Chief Investment Officer, T.J. oversees Kane Realty’s development team & process: acquisition, underwriting, entitlements, design, and construction. His team focuses on creating multi-phased urban developments and have established wholly new urban districts in the Triangle region.
He has direct experience with over two billion dollars of completed or under-construction development projects. His team’s developments have included the following products: office (1.6m sf), multifamily (3,600 units), retail (1m sf), hotel (1,000 keys). Almost every project has contained vertically integrated mixed uses. Notable projects include multiple developments in the North Hills District and downtown/warehouse districts.
Prior to Kane, T.J. consulted in the Atlanta office of Bain & Company, a global business strategy consulting firm where he drove results for clients in numerous industries. He is a graduate, with highest distinction, of the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He also studied at the center for European studies at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
T.J. serves the local community in roles including: Triangle YMCA board member, Raleigh Capitol Area Developments board member (Affordable Housing), and Triangle ULI Treasurer & Housing Committee Chair. He also serves at Hayes Barton Methodist Church through various service and outreach programs. T.J. and his wife Jessie are the proud parents of two boys – Jones and Hayns.

Bonner Gaylord
Chief Operating Officer
Bonner is the Chief Operating Officer for Kane. He oversees day-to-day operations and directs members of Kane’s property management team on marketing, events, sponsorships, public safety, custodial, maintenance, and tenant relationships.
Prior to joining Kane, Bonner held positions as both project manager and builder with Richard Gaylord homes in Raleigh where he worked on developments in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Apex and Wake Forest. He has also worked for DiVosta/Pulte Homes in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Bonner holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School where he was a Hobgood Fellow. He is a NC licensed general contractor, a NC licensed real estate broker, a LEED accredited professional through the US Green Building Council, and a Friday Fellow through the William C. Friday Fellowship for Human Relations.
Bonner was elected as a Raleigh City Councilor from 2009 to 2017 where he served on various committees and served as council liaison to multiple city-related organizations. Bonner received the Forty Under Forty award in 2009 from the Triangle Business Journal, 10 to watch in 2010 by the News and Observer, and the 2011 Outstanding Public Servant award from the N.C. Center for Voter Education.

Betsy Reade Creech
Director of Talent
As the Director of Talent at Kane Realty Corporation, Betsy Reade leads the development of talent acquisition solutions including strategic design, employment branding, workforce planning and operational excellence—the foundation for all of this activity are Kane’s Mission and Values. Betsy Reade manages the entire selection process to include sourcing, interviewing, preparing and extending offers, and successful on boarding for new team members. Betsy Reade also focuses on ensuring the development of skills and capabilities of the team to support the growth and evolution of the business while retaining and developing the company’s employees.
Betsy Reade has been involved in Human Resources her entire professional career and has enjoyed contributing as a leader, individual contributor and consultant working in a variety of settings including large global companies and smaller, fast-paced, growing organizations. In her last company, while the head of HR, the team grew from 50 – 225 employees and successfully completed 3 mergers and acquisitions.
Betsy Reade attended UNC-CH where she received her BS in Industrial Relations and Psychology. Betsy Reade is a member of the Society for Human Resources Professionals (SHRM) and has her SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations. She is a member of WorldatWork and CAI’s HR Peer Learning group. Betsy Reade serves as a Deacon at White Memorial Presbyterian Church where she & her husband have been active members for 29 years. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family anywhere, but preferably at the North Carolina Coast.

Frances Dunn
Regional Manager
Frances joined Kane in 2016 as a Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily assets, with a focus on purpose-built student housing and new development. She brings with her a passion for people and uses this passion to serve as an aid to on-site personnel while overseeing day-to-day operations across her portfolio. Frances works closely with all departments within Kane including development, marketing, and operations to ensure that the best procedures are mirrored at the site level.
Prior to joining Kane, Frances worked for 11 years in the multifamily and student housing industry in various roles across the nation. She specialized in student lease-ups and new development projects. After graduating from North Carolina State University (GO PACK!), Frances “cut her teeth” in the business on a local Raleigh community near State’s campus. Her love of the business was immediate and she never looked back. Growing through the ranks, Frances has worked on lease ups and stabilized assets in over 30 different markets, overseeing as many as 5,000 units at once. Most recently, she served as a Vice President for a national developer and operator, helping to build and grow the management side of their business.
Frances holds a North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s License and continues to expand her industry education. Raleigh is home to her growing family of four. When not leasing apartments, Frances enjoys hiking with her husband, Chad, and their two little girls, Ella and Lottie. She also looks forward to summer get-a-ways at Harkers Island, NC, their favorite vacation spot.

Matt Rackham
Director of Maintenance
Matt Rackham joined Kane Residential in October 2015. He joined the residential team in October of 2015 and is responsible for the supervision of all onsite maintenance teams and capital projects, teaching, and quality control.
Matt was born in Kent, England where he lived until he came to the U.S. in 2001. Before working at Kane, Matt worked as a PGA Golf Professional at numerous prestigious clubs in both England and the U.S., including: Carolina Country Club, Frenchman’s Creek (Florida) and Warwick Country Club (Rhode Island). During his time in the golf industry he worked in management and supervising, team development and training, planning, and coordinating golf events on a regular basis. He is one of few PGA Professionals to have the distinction of a Class “A” certification in both England and the United States.

Ciara Hitchcock
Software and Operations Manager
Ciara Hitchcock joined the Kane team in 2015 as a Residential Management Intern, assisting with leasing and management responsibilities across Kane’s multifamily portfolio. During her tenure, she was promoted to Leasing Specialist, Assistant Property Manager, and Property Manager before moving into her current role, Software & Operations Manager, in November 2019.
As Software & Operations Manager, Ciara implements, conducts training, and facilitates all property management software systems for Kane Residential’s site teams and corporate support roles. She also coordinates all policies and procedural systems, and maintains documentation and compliance for all areas of property management operations.
Ciara graduated from ECU with a degree in Communications, and she is a member of the TAA Special Events Committee. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband Robert and their two golden retrievers, Heisman and Hadley.

Sarah Allwardt
Director of Marketing and Resident Experience
As Director of Marketing and Resident Experience, Sarah Allwardt develops and executes Kane’s strategic vision for delivering a consistently superior customer experience across all our assets through enhanced technology, robust training, unique experiences, and exceptional service. She joined Kane Residential in June 2019, bringing over 12 years of multifamily marketing experience from previous roles at Post Properties (now MAA) and RADCO Residential.
Sarah holds a BA in English from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. She relocated to the Greater Raleigh area in 2019 after previously residing in Atlanta and Pittsburgh, and she enjoys exploring the Triangle with her husband, Will, and their two daughters. Outside of work, Sarah’s interests also include cooking, reading, watching football (go Steelers!) and trying new restaurants.

Lori Balme
Senior Property Accountant
As the senior property accountant, Lori handles all accounting for the Kane Residential Portfolio. In her role, she prepares and distributes monthly financial reports in accordance with owner requirements, monitors cash receipts and maintains A/P and A/R. She also assists with property takeovers, setting up the new properties in the property management software, contract and bank account transitions, and UCC filings.
Lori graduated from St. Josephs College and began her career at Margolin Winer and Evens LLP, one of the largest regional accounting and business advisory firms in the Tri-State area. While there she obtained her CPA License. Previously, she worked for Kimco Realty Corporation, North America’s largest publicly traded owner and operator of neighborhood and community shopping centers. Lori and her husband moved from New York to Raleigh in 2007 and she joined the Kane Residential team in 2015. Outside of work, Lori is an avid volunteer for the SPCA and sits on a committee for the charity organization Wags4Tags.

Jill Hellwig
Property Accountant
Jill Hellwig joined Kane Residential as a Property Accountant in 2017. Prior to joining Kane, Jill worked for North Ridge Country Club for 16 years, most recently as the Assistant Controller.
Jill and her husband, John, have two children, Christian and Dylan. Jill is a Raleigh native and grew up in the Quail Hollow neighborhood where her mother still lives. Jill has a degree in Accounting from Strayer University. She spends most of her free time devoted to her son’s activities, especially basketball.

Ikima Hicks
Regional Manager
Ikima Hicks joined Kane Residential in 2017 as a Property Management Analyst, and was promoted to Regional Manager in 2018. In her current role, Ikima oversees the operations of a portfolio of multi-family assets. She works closely with on-site teams, corporate support departments, and Kane Residential leadership to maintain Kane’s well-known standard of excellence.
Ikima holds a Certified Apartment Manager® designation from the Triangle Apartment Association as well as a North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s License. She is an active member of the TAA and is affiliated with SAHMA. While attending East Carolina University, Ikima fell in love with North Carolina and decided to make it her permanent home. As a true real estate enthusiast, she is well versed in the local market and has worked in the industry for over 15 years concentrating on property management. Prior to joining Kane, Ikima successfully managed conventional, affordable and senior communities, gaining multi-site experience in renovation, lease-up and asset stabilization.
When Ikima is not spending quality time with her family, she enjoys reading, swimming and traveling.
Brendan Willis
Senior Portfolio Manager
Brendan is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Kane. He is responsible for the planning, marketing, operations, and lease-up of multi-family & mixed-use new developments.
After graduating from the business school at Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Resort, & Tourism Management, Brendan started his career managing Starwood and Marriott hotels in Myrtle Beach, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. He transitioned into property management in 2014 working with AvalonBay and UDR in Arlington, VA and Los Angeles, CA. Brendan has experience managing several types of luxury Class A communities, including lease-up, renovation, and acquisition.
Brendan moved to Raleigh in 2019 with his wife Alexandra, where they currently live with their son & daughter. Outside of work, Brendan enjoys traveling, spending time with family in OBX, hiking/biking, and playing music, and he is a huge D.C. sports fan.
Jerrell Love
Regional Maintenance Supervisor
As the Regional Maintenance Supervisor of New Construction, Jerrell is responsible for performing quality control walks with contractors during the construction phase. This process ensures that apartment homes are delivered on schedule and with the highest quality.
Before joining Kane in 2018, Jerrell worked as a dual site Chief Engineer for Hyatt Hotel & Resorts. This is the place where his famous quote “go the extra mile with a smile” was born. Prior to Hyatt, Jerrell worked as a Director of Maintenance in both Multifamily Residential and also Senior Living.
Jerrell is a classic car enthusiast and an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan! During his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, cruising around town with the top down and cheering on the Eagles to victory!
Allie O'Hara
Residential Portfolio Analyst
As a Residential Portfolio Analyst at Kane, Allie assists the Residential team with any financial and quantitative analysis across the portfolio including under construction, lease-up and stabilized projects.
Prior to joining Kane, Allie worked for IHS Markit as a Research Analyst doing stock surveillance and investor targeting for various S&P 500 Industrial companies. She also spent some time at SAS as a Consulting Business Development Manager assisting Telco companies with implementation of SAS products.
Allie grew up in Emerald Isle and Clayton, NC, but has been living in Raleigh since starting school at North Carolina State University, where she earned a B.S. in Economics. In her free time, Allie enjoys cheering on the NC State Wolfpack (Go Pack!) and spending time with family and her golden retriever, Lyla.

Wesley Jones
Senior Leasing and Sales Specialist
Wesley joined Kane Residential in 2016 as the Senior Leasing and Marketing Specialist. Wesley brings 7 years of experience as a top producer in the multi-family housing market working for large companies such as MAA and Colonial Properties Trust. Before entering into leasing he was in management for brands like Banana Republic and J.Crew in the high volume Washington, D.C. market for 10 years.
Wesley is a Raleigh native and resides in the Historic Glenwood Brooklyn district.

Josh Flippo
Regional Maintenance Supervisor – New Construction
Josh Flippo joined Kane Residential as the Regional Maintenance Supervisor – New Construction in 2017. Prior to joining Kane, Josh worked for The Brainbridge Companies as their Senior Service Manager. Josh attended Chattanooga State. His certifications include CAM, CPO and Universal EPA/HVAC.
Josh & his family live in Franklinton with his awesome wife, Danielle, and two little monsters, Mason and Addie. In his time away from work, Josh enjoys playing music and playing with his kids.

Sara Newcomer
Senior Accountant/Special Projects
Sara is the Senior Accountant for Kane. She has been involved in the financial operations of Kane Realty Corporation as well as Pulse Corporation. She currently handles all accounting and human resources tasks for Kane with a strong focus on support of property management.
Prior to Kane, she performed bookkeeping and accounting services for several companies, including her husband’s computer prepress and graphic design company and for Steven D. Bell & Co. Her family moved to Raleigh in 1983 and she became employed with JM Kane & Company in 1984.
She is a graduate of Croft Business College and began working in the commercial real estate business in Greensboro, handling all accounting tasks and setting up the company’s first computerized accounting system.

Paul Newcomer
Director of Information Technology
Paul Newcomer is manager of the IT department at Kane. In this position, he is responsible for Kane’s entire IT infrastructure. He has designed, built, installed and maintains the company’s IT systems and provides technical support for these systems.
In addition to his IT skills, Paul also has over ten years of experience in the commercial printing industry. This allows him to assist Kane’s marketing department with the technical aspects of their projects.
Paul was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and lives in the Raleigh area with his wife Gwen and their family.

Shelly Kangas
Office Manager
Shelly Kangas began her work with Kane Realty Corporation in 1986 as a Lease Administrator. After taking some time off to start a family, Shelly returned in 2002 assuming a range of vital duties including the oversight of Kane’s move to its new offices in North Hills in 2005. In her current position, Shelly’s responsibilities include scheduling and pre-interview of job candidates as well as supervising the day-to-day activities of Kane’s office operations and support staff.
Shelly is a native of Morehead City, North Carolina and has two children. She has been a member of the Raleigh Junior League since 1992 and is an active member of Bayleaf Baptist Church in Raleigh.

Jon Masterson
Senior Graphic Designer
Jon Masterson is the Senior Graphic Designer at Kane and has over 15 years of experience building strong brands through innovative and creative graphic design. Prior to working at Kane, Jon was the Senior Graphic Designer for Taro Pharmaceuticals in Hawthorne, NY. In this position, he helped to elevate the company’s profile in a highly competitive market through a full spectrum of design services, web development, copywriting, and more. Jon lives in the Raleigh area with his family, and enjoys writing, running, and playing with his son in his spare time.

Libby Stubbs
Controller
Libby is the Controller for Kane. She is responsible for financial reporting, cash management and day-to-day accounting operations including oversight of the accounting team.
Libby was an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers where she focused primarily on publicly-traded technology companies. Prior to Kane, Libby took time to raise her three daughters.
Libby holds two Bachelors of Science degrees from North Carolina State University in Accounting and Business Management and a Masters degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University. Libby is a Certified Public Accountant.
Libby resides in Raleigh with her husband, Chuck and their children. Outside of work, Libby enjoys spending time traveling with her family and playing tennis.

Warner Kuppin
Senior Director of Development
Warner is Senior Director of Development for Kane Realty. He leads the development and financing of Kane’s projects (in most cases, vertically integrated mixed-use) from conception through disposition. Since joining the team, Warner has been involved in the development of more than 2,500 units, 600,000 sf of office space and 250,000 square feet of retail space with a total capitalization in excess of $1 billion.
Prior to joining Kane, Warner was a developer with Wood Partners, a national multifamily developer. In this role, he covered development in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. He also previously lived in Washington, DC and practiced real estate finance with the global law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth.
Warner holds a BSBA and JD/MBA from the University of North Carolina. As a law student, he was a member of the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal and graduated with honors. As an MBA student, Warner was a Dean’s Fellow scholarship recipient, manager of the Real Estate Investment Fund and member of Beta Gamma Sigma (honor society).
He is on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle, a graduate of Leadership Raleigh and a member of Triangle ULI.
He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Raines, a local artist, and his two children.

Josie Reeves
Project Design Manager
Josie oversees interior and exterior design, programming and brand positioning for Kane’s new developments. Alongside architects, interior designers, landscape architects, contractors, specialty trades and artists, Josie works to execute engaging projects that ensure a memorable client experience.
Josie is a graduate of North Carolina State University and is active in the Raleigh community. She resides in Raleigh with her husband, Charlie, and two sons, Henry and George.

Greg Kuruc
Associate Director - Development
Greg is the development manager for Kane. He is responsible for the underwriting and financing of Kane’s new developments, acquisitions and disposition efforts and ushers projects through the design and construction phases. Greg has experience with various development types with an emphasis on multi-family, office, and retail mixed use products.
Prior to Kane, Greg spent four years with the Raleigh based multi-family development company Boylan Development Company where he was responsible for underwriting the companies development, acquisition & disposition and refinancing deals.
Greg is a graduate of North Carolina State University and holds a degree in business management and a minor in accounting. Greg is active with the Urban Land Institute where he is on the Board for the Young Leaders Council and was a participant in the 2013 Young Leaders Partnership Forum. He is also active in the community through various outreach programs at Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.

Mike Massey
Construction Manager
Mike oversees new construction and renovation projects through the proactive management of the progress of the General Contractor, Architect, and other consultants in the areas of construction schedule, budget, and quality. Mike is a NC licensed general contractor with extensive experience in residential, commercial and multi-family construction and development. His management experience includes large scale commercial/multi-family projects and residential projects in North Carolina and South Carolina. Additionally, Mike is a NC licensed home inspector and NC licensed real estate broker.
Mike graduated from North Carolina State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism management with a concentration in Natural Resources Management. He volunteers with Wake County Habitat for Humanity and actively participates in the Freedom Alliance by providing outdoor recreation opportunities to United States military veterans.

Rob Reid
Director of Kane Residential
Rob is the Director of Kane Residential. He oversees the operations and business development of our multifamily management arm. He is involved in the strategic growth and overall operating success of the individual multifamily assets in our portfolio and leading the Regional team. He works closely with the development department in the development of future multifamily communities (both internally and externally) with third party clients.
Prior to joining Kane, Rob was Assistant Vice President for Medalist Capital, a commercial real estate financial services company that specializes in mortgage banking, investment advisory and defeasance. In this role, Rob was responsible for arranging a variety of financing solutions for developers, investors, and owners of commercial and multi-family real estate assets. Prior to Medalist Capital, Rob served as a senior political, legislative, and communications strategist in Washington, DC advising numerous policymakers, elected officials, and campaigns.
Rob and his wife, Sydney, both graduated from Wake Forest University and currently live in Raleigh with their dog, Muggsy.
